Looking back & looking forward....

Development of our youth for the future... or... development of the future for our youth? Where does our nation stand? The latest election shows the results which I feared the most. Not in terms of BN losing its majority votes...not because of the govt losing 5+1 states to the opposition. Not because of Anwar's mangled mind & twisted tongue seeping through the rakyat's ear & blackened their hearts... why then??? What is my greatest fear? The lost of malay traditions. The lost of its' culture & heritage. We're experiencing the wind of change. Change for the better or for worst??? We've yet to know. What is certain...is the lost of our culture. Others might wonder...what the hell am i talking about? Or even.... "mamat ni dah mengarut or merepek or merapu". Fret not.... the explanation is here...

Information Technology (IT) is here to stay. IT is here to change the way we live. IT changes the way we think. IT changes the way we act. Who is "WE"? The answer is.... our youths! The new generation. The so-called 'idealistic' generation. The voice of tomorrow which shouted today & roared on 8th of march 2008. This new generation would rather spend most of their days in front of their computers for news, spend hours in cybercafes for fun & chat in cyberspace to make friends. Whereas during my time which is 15-25 years ago... we spend most of our days in the outdoors for fun & make new friends. The generation today plays "COUNTER STRIKE" & shoot each other down from the computer screen, whereas, during my time we shoot each other down by playing "chopping" (throwing wet tennis ball...which is similar to dodgeball). We play "police sentry" or "kejar-kejar", "galah panjang", "konda kondi", "teng-teng", guli & congkak & the generation today plays Grand Theft Auto, Winning Eleven & Need for Speed. We write letters which is personalised through hand-writing where nowadays its thru email which is for the masses. We used to anyam daun-palas for ketupat & now u can buy it instant at tesco. We play masak2 & kawin2 play-acting... & now its cybersex, youtube & porn on the net.

Traditional games, arts & even recipes are fading. The youths rather go to fast food rather then learning to cook or appreciate home-made tumis asam or masak lemak. The youths rather do graffiti art on walls & design through Adobe softwares rather then crafting or carving or weaving. Youths listen to mainstream western influenced music rather then irama melayu asli. Malays are running out of poets & sasterawan which was mentioned by A Samad Said recently.

This is the evolution of Malaysia. The era of globalization is here. Soon all the world will speak in 1 language & 1 culture. And all the culture, arts & heritage of the malays, chinese & even indians will be but a page in our history books. To most of the people... they will think this is the new dawn of the world which we have to grasp in order to keep up with the world. To some, it is a distraction, which may come & go... but to those few (which includes me)... thinks that is the beginning of the end for Malaysian culture.

What has happened to BN in the recent election is a reality check. Which to me is a wake up call! To both our fathers & grandfather's generation and to the new generation now! It is not too late... to ponder.... it is not too late to realise... it is not too late to change... it is not too late to fight on! Fight for survival. Survival of our culture! The new generation only focus on the present & of course the future...but they totally neglected about the past. To them, the past is irrelevant. The past is Barisan Nasional...the past is UMNO. Which to me is so... "wrong!"

I am caught in between the old generation & the new. Both have ideals which I feel would benefit both the county & her people. I would like Malaysia to be ready for the globalization era & yet strong in culture, traditions, heritage & arts. That is why, UMNO can't remain to rule the way it used to rule if they intend to maintain in the political scene as the government. It's gonna be a long winding road uphill for UMNO now as the wind of change is here to stay.

Mark my words... in 15-20years time... if this new generation doesn't realise the EFFECT of this changes NOW...then there will be no more Wau filling up the skies, batik will only be an artform, case of obesity will rise, because the lack of outdoor activities for kids. The sound of rebana will only be a sampling in a DJ remix of a hip-hop song. Baju Melayu will only be worn in wedding ceremonies only...& so on & so forth.

Sigh..... remember the struggles of our fathers & fore-fathers & ancestors. Remember enjit-enjit semut. Remember how to tie your kain sampin. Remember all the Prosa Klasik. Remember where you used to be. We can still move forward & yet maintain our image is malaysian...therefore I STRONGLY believe.... we give the past a chance to blend & lead for the future...once again! Amin.....

I'm Starting With The Man In The Mirror,

Umno is now rockin.... they're threadin on thin ice... walkin on egg-shells. Umno has always been the hero for malaysia's independence! And i guess, slowly their past struggles is but a page in malaysian history. The youth of today couldn't care less of the achievement of the past. The youths now prefer to look to the future. We cant blame them. It's part of Tun Sri Dr Mahathir's vision of 2020. The thing that the older generation has to ask themselves is whether... "Do we built the future for our youth"? or... "Do we develop the youth for the future"? It may sound alike but it is different alltogether. The sad thing is.... it's the irony which malaysia is facing now!

I'm not an official UMNO member, nevertheless I am pretty much satisfied with the running of the country. Although, Pak Lah & co's methods are highly questionable. Politics for one has Never been clean. It's us, the rakyat that matters. The purpose in life itself is a struggle & what we want is for the govt to make it smoother. For 33 years I have felt peace, harmony & content with our nation's development. For this I owe BN my utmost gratitude as well as our Father of Modernism... TUN SRI DR.MAHATHIR!

I'm continuing TDM's legacy of "meneruskan perjuangan"... demi bangsa, agama & negara! UMNO is still relevant. In the arms of the right person to lead it, UMNO could be majestic once again. That's why I'm introducing the 3Ms... MENYEDAR...MEMULIH...& MEMBANGUN!!!

Wahai bangsa melayuku... hentikanlah sifat menuding jari... ubahkanlah sikap mu... mulakan dengan si dia yg berada di depan cermin!!!

In the words of Michael Jackson...

I'm Starting With The Man In The Mirror,
I'm Asking Him To Change His Ways,
And No Message Could Have Been Any Clearer,
If You Wanna Make The World A Better Place,
Take A Look At Yourself, And Then Make A Change!!!

Bangsa...Malaysia!?

If betul nak berbangsa malaysia then takyah ada sekolah "jenis" kebangsaan! Maintain pendidikan dlm Bahasa Melayu/M'sia utk menguatkan keperibadian negara & juga Bahasa Inggeris utk persediaan utk menempuh era globalisasi. Kalau susah nak ubah, then jadikan bahasa Cina part of our sylabus. So takdelah bangsa melayu terlopong bila kaum cina dok kelentong kat kita sg wang.

bah aku pun dok pesan slalu. Kalau nak niaga ikutlah style org cina. Senario camni: If ko ada kedai makan, nak tarik lebih ramai pelanggan dari 'competition' ko kat sbelah tu, ko cakap kat pelanggan ko: "kedai makan sana tu sedap, tapi sini lagi sedap!" Jgn ikut style melayu, cakap camni: "kedai makan sana tu cam hampeh, tak sedap langsung, jgn bazir, makan kat sini gerenti sedap".

The malays have to stop blaming each, step on each other's head or bashing the govt regarding monetary issues. Umno helped & gave lotsa windows of opportunities to the malays, be it in the business & development sectors or even the education sectors. Malays have to start asking themselves..."why do we have all this privileges"? And with all this privileges..."why are we still poor"? And typically... when all this fails...the fingers points to UMNO. Why? B'coz Umno is supposed to be the leading party, or so-called hero for the malays. But nowadays, in the eyes of the public, its those people with power or holding a high post in the govt are seen to be the most successfull? How successfull? By looking at their monetary assets. Their houses, their cars, their clothes, their lifestyle... their jets? Why the public asked? Why is it so drastically different in terms of class between the Rakyat & their leaders?

BUT WAIT!!!! before u ponder any further... think... why are the malays making such a big hoo-haa out of this? If chinese or especially the indians, then I would understand, as they have been deprived from the benefits that the malays have. And yet despite their quiet disgruntles & ramblings, they marched on! They worked even harder...hence...most of the successfull or "rich" people in Malaysia is "chinese". Look, even the most richest man in M'sia is not a malay. Ananda Krishan...& considered in forbes to be the 3rd most richest person in south east asia!

Another thing about the chinese is their strong support system. I would rate their business networking to be the best in the world. Secara kasarlah... ada tak ahlong bangsa lain? Dulu ada lah ceti...sekarang? Melayu jgn lupa...bukan bangsa kamu je yg miskin... ramai lagi bangsa cina & india khususnya yg papa-kedana. The govt has to set their priority right & Umno has to stop being too bias on helping the malays only... although we know UMNO is now in coalition with MCA & MIC which is also known as BARISAN NASIONAL. (national front) . Therefore it is not just UMNO's struggle, it is also the struggle of MIC for the indians & MCA for the chinese. UNITE... work with the rakyat & work for the rakyat.... insya-Allah (god-willingly)... the rakyat will support your back!

Lesbianism from a muslim point of view

ASTAGHFIRULLAHHALAZIMMMMM.....

Ini komen saya kepada umat Islam & melayu khususnya. Based from a blog of NOTARAZI:
http://notarazi.blogspot.com/2008/04/malaysian-lesbian-muslim.html

She is considered a murtad la wahai razi oiiiii...... Culture difference has changed her. Pendirian dia, iman dia tak kuat. DAn paling obvious pengajaran dia tentang Islam amat lemah skali. I dont understand the point of you posting this link over here? Islam is more then a religion. Its a way of life! It seems to me, that the lesbo only uses Islam the way she wants it to be. Instead of fitting in Islam way of life.... she focussed on fitting Islam in her way of life.... END OF STORY... Period!!! Nak ponder apa lagi? Tlg jgn kecamukkan lagi minda muslimin-muslimat.

Satu lagi....islam diturunkan ke bumi utk menjadikan sebagai undang2. Tamadun ROME & GREECE ketengahkan freedom of sexuality, Gay-orgies dll lagi. Itu adalah zaman Jahilliyah!!! Islam pun diturunkan utk mengelakkan tamadun itu berleluasa. So kepada siapa yg melanggar seruan & undang2 yg ALLAH turunkan kepadanya....maka BERDOSA lah mereka!

She wrote "Does being a dog-loving lesbian make me any less of a Muslim"?

Soalan ni patutnye dijawap dgn penampor je. Kepada Razi..... may i know what's your point of highlighting this here? Are you yourself an atheist or a free thinker? Ingat.... FREEDOM comes with a price... FREEDOM COMES WITH RESPONSIBILITY!!! Without it, then it's already a from of ANARCHY!!!!

One last thing. For those in doubts. I have included here a couple of links for your enlightenment:
http://www.islamqa.com/index.php?ref=10050&ln=eng
http://www.islamonline.net/servlet/Satellite?pagename=Islamonline-English-Ask_Scholar/FatwaE/FatwaE&cid=1119503547102
http://www.islamawareness.net/Homosexuality/homo.html

even in the bible:
http://answering-islam.org/Responses/Osama/lesbian.htm
http://skepticsannotatedbible.com/gay/long.htm

Here's a quote from one of the site:

"They (gays and lesbians) both go against the natural disposition (fitrah) which Allaah has created in mankind – and also in animals – whereby the male is inclined towards the female, and vice versa. Whoever goes against that goes against the natural disposition of mankind, the fitrah.

The spread of homosexuality has caused man diseases which neither the east nor the west can deny exist because of them. Even if the only result of this perversion was AIDS – which attacks the immune system in humans – that would be enough".

Kerana BABI... melayu sanggup pecah belah.

Ini komen saya kepada umat Islam & melayu khususnya. Based from a blog of NOTARAZI: http://notarazi.blogspot.com/2008/04/ali-rustam-deleted-blog-comments.html

Skrg ni... dah adat. Asal apa yg di bentangkan oleh pihak kerajaan, umno, bn....lantang org membantah. Kerana BABI... melayu sanggup pecah belah. Sanggup memaki hamun orang. Itu pandangan Ali Rustam. Kalau ingin bantah...bantah lah dgn cara yg rasional bukan dgn memaki hamun mencarut semua. Ni lah aanak muda melayu kita skrgn. Mana dia adat sopan santun budi pekerti melayu? Tak kira la pada pemuda-pemudi yg rasa level intelek mereka begitu tinggi. Buktikan dgn cara yg betul & bukan utk memperendahkan org.

Ali Rustam tu tetap org yg berumur, hormat tetap patut diberi. Sebagai warga berumur. Jgn terlalu kemaruk ikut hati & kemarahan. KURANG AJAR & BIADAP betul diorang ni. Saya tak kiralah apa org cakap pasal BABI. Tapi kalau sebab BABI, kaum melayu nak berpecah belah.... PERSETANKAN BABI SEMUA!!! KALAU DAH HARAM....HARAM JE LAH!!!! Apa lagi nak bantah??? ARAK & JUDI pun di sahkan di M'sia.... now nak perjuangkan BABI 100juta?? ARRGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! melayu oh melayuuuuuuuuuuuuuu.......

Politics in M'sia has become a "reality TV"

Politics in M'sia has become a "reality TV". A trend for all d ages. With help of d internet & I.T, we've become closely linked to each other. Be it between friends, foes, rakyat & their leaders. Here in cyberspace, u don't have to hold a high post in the ministry to voice out. It seems the opposition realises this & capitalised on it. Ironically it was the govt who encourages its' citizen to use this platform. So, I'm here to wake up UMNO from their slumber & perform to her rakyat expectations!

I have woken up & it was a slap in the face. Therefore I believe the rakyat is more demanding now. Yes, things must change, govt must change to evolve together with the demand, trend & expectations of her rakyat. Change is good if it is to improve our ways of life. But not elimination. Umno has a history which we should cherish & nurture but not condemn to extinction. Yes there are faults in the system, which should be rectified quick!

My POV of the recent MYKMU's: UMNO PASCA PILIHAN RAYA UMUM KE 12: SATU PENILAIAN (part 1)

The main reason I attended the forum is because of the opportunity to listen firsthand by TDM without any editing by any party. Besides that, I also considered myself as a TDM's fan. I can't help it. Whenever he speaks, I feel inspired. And the other reason I was there is because to feed my sudden thirst on politics. The thought of being in a 'post-mortem' forum of the 12th General Election was worth the "annual leave" i took for it.

The forum kicks-off by the 3 invited panelists: Mukhriz Mahathir (new MP of Jerlun & Umno youth exec council membr), Dr Mohd Khir Toyo (ex-S’ngor Menteri Besar) & Dr Mohd Puad Zarkashi (Johor Umno Information Chief).

At first I was wondering why DMKT was there, of all the people? God bless his soul for he has earned my utmost respect. He was getting raped front, back, left, right & center from the public... & yet he still stood rooted to the ground. It took a lot of guts for him to be there,‘bashed’ by the public and even after being advised by the UMNO's MT to not attend (boycott) the forum. He took it like a ‘man’ and bravely accepts the responsibility for losing the state and resigned as State Liason Chief. It was an eye-opener to see a senior Umno figure ‘brought down’ in the same level as the public.

This forum, which I was led to believe is the first of its’ kind to be held for normal Umno members. (members without any post) I myself is not a member yet by the way…..

(to be continued...)

p/s: Remember the old malay saying, "takut kerana salah & berani kerana benar"? I'm wishing DMKT all the best & Teruskanlah Perjuangan!

Down but not out...

Looks like the defeat of BN in Selangor/KL clearly shows how M’sians are heavily influenced by information technology, & in this case, the internet! The very thing which the govt has been encouraging for its’ rakyat. The govt’s pride & joy. Their idea of having 1 computer for each home. Though the EPF ‘computer scheme’ for the bumiputras has been disgracefully abolished (due to the corrupt of the rakyat of this privilege), the rakyat still abused the I.T.

If you surf the net these days, u will easily find anti-govt sentiments everywhere. Especially in blogs & even non-profit organization public websites. These websites belongs to both locals & international. Just surf in http://www.youtube.com, & you’ll see how the rakyat abused by editing/altering speeches & video clips. Just type ‘pilihanraya malaysia’ in it & you will know what I mean. I’m sad to see a number of my fellow friends & peers started to be addicted by ‘opposition’ blogs & the youtube. Malaysians are new with this. They are quite naïve when it comes to this & tend to believe what they see & read online. To them, this alternate ‘media’ started as an escapade from the mainstream media. The information travels fast & easily accessible. Therefore, news & rumours spread faster with this media. To make matters worst, IT has become an addiction & managed to brainwash the rakyat. Especially the youths!!! IT has become their daily diet on feeding their idealistic mind. Idle minds are definitely the devil’s playground.

Honestly, I am one of the rakyat that feeds from IT & it has been my daily routine to surf everyday on the information super-highway. BUT… I was exposed to I.T & the creative side of this media for 15 years…therefore I’m experience enough to differentiate & filter out which is true & untrue “visually”, such as those edited video-clips & photographs you see thru chain e-mails, youtube, malaysiakini.com & other anti-govt websites. (Which I will include later on). I have my parents to thank for for this. As my education paid-off.

Study the amount of homes with internet & PC and you will know what I mean. The ratio shows clearly that KL/Selangor is on top of the list & other developed/rich states. It is sad indeed. Majorities of PC users are youth. The rakyat & especially the youths are bored with the mainstream media. Print is dying. (which is good, as it helps to save the trees) Information is free online, where you don’t have to pay a single cent for it. Therefore, I would dare say the best choice of platform of the opposition parties to use it for their campaign. Even mainstream TV doesn’t work. The youths doesn’t watch TV anymore as they prefer to be hooked on the net or reality shows nowadays. Ironically, the government has always said that the youth is the future. And again the govt is robbed under their noses. The govt encourages the rakyat having computers & they abused it (look who is corrupted now?)… the govt encourages I.T, again it got abused… & now the youth… hmmmmm…. It’s all gone.

PAS controls the simple minds, islam fundamentalists & the rural areas. PKR controls the idealistic minds & IT influenced areas. DAP controls the area which has the majority of Chinese as well as the IT influenced areas. Malaysia is democracy indeed.

BN now has to learn from this & take advantage of the IT. One of BN’s mistake is being too over-confident & rely too much on their current supporters. They have not considered campaigning for their youth. Though BN still control half of M’sia, lets see how M’sia fares with the new govt. Hmmm looks like I’ve to wait for another 4 years to vote for the new ‘opposition’ then.

Penat lelah laaaa…. kerajaan menolong membangunkan Negara. Negeri yg dimajukan oleh kerajaan bagai kacang lupakan kulit. Manakala negeri yg masih memerlukan pembangunan tetap menyokong kerajaan. Adakah ini satu trend? Vote for the government if you want good development & support… but once you’ve developed & achieved the necessary success… you start to be egoistic & wants more then what the government offer. To sum it all… in one word… Malaysians are filled with “GREED”.

That’s what I think about this 12th Malaysia General Election….
1. Greed for power (eager to win even if means lying & ganging up with other opposition party to topple their own race & religion)
2. Greed for influence (even if it means spreading hate, rumors & violence)
3. Greed for attention (blogging, altering video clips, & creating chain mails to be seen, heard & famous)

ALLAHUAKBAR!!! Saya akan tetap bersama BARISAN NASIONAL, dulu….kini…. dan selamanya!!!
