Melayu perlu belajar berbahasa cina!!!

I've always complained saying that if really the rakyat votes for Malaysian Malaysia then we should strt by lookin into the education system. Kenapa masih ada sekolah jenis kebangsaan cina & tamil? Kenapa perlu bahagikan kepada bangsa? Mengapa tak SATUkan semua bangsa? Although there is sekolah kebangsaan there are still lotsa ppl send their children to these RACE SPECIFIC school.

I'll make sure once i've my own kids, I'll do the same. Siang hantar skolah cina supaya tidak ketinggalan or melopong bila kene kelentong. In better words, to learn their ways & expertise in the world of economics, which we cant deny. Petang pulak hantar la ke sekolah Agama...supaya Mereka tak alpa & sedar akan agama mereka.

Now, I feel we should make "chinese language" a compulsory subject in our education system! Barulah MELAYU boleh compete not just in Malaysia... & also the world. Jgn lupa 60-70% of world population are chinese

Teresa Anti-Jawi goin' too far!!!!

This Bitch is goin wayyyyyyyy to far!!! Go fly your rocket elsewhere la! What kinda signboard requires bloody 3 languages?!! Morons! Bangsa Malaysia satu bahasa... & that is BAHASA MALAYSIA la bodohhhh.... how many people that could read chinese or even tamil? the arabic words is fore the sake of tourism. Fuckin morons!!!! Do u wanna politicize everything u sick bitch!!! Fuck DAP.... this aint no communist country la lakhanat punya kafir!!!

2 jurugambar kena pukul

PERLAKUAN BIADAP: Penyokong PKR mengejar kenderaan petugas Barisan Nasional (gambar 1). Mohd Sairien kemudian diselamatkan polis (gambar 4).

Mahathir dares Anwar to swear

taken from SUNDAY STAR:

Sunday August 17, 2008

KUALA LUMPUR: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has dared Pakatan Rakyat leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to swear on the Quran to prove he is innocent of the sodomy charge he faces.

He said Anwar should do so just like his accuser Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan who had sworn upon the Quran that Anwar had sodomised him.

“Anwar should also be doing the same thing, instead of just giving ceramah everywhere, to prove his innocence,” Dr Mahathir said when approached by reporters during his visit to the Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism Show 2008 in Serdang yesterday.

Referring to Saiful's swearing on the Quran at the Federal Territory mosque here yesterday, Dr Mahathir said it was the former Anwar aide’s way of proving he was not lying when he alleged he had been sodomised by the PKR adviser on June 26.

Dr Mahathir said that as a figure on the Malaysian political scene, Anwar should act in accordance with public sentiment that he said, required that he give a sworn statement pertaining to the sodomy allegation.

However, the action would be considered to be just a good political gesture because Anwar himself had to provide legitimate evidence to prove that he was not guilty in the matter.

Terengganu Mentri Besar Datuk Ahmad Said said Saiful did the right thing by swearing upon the Quran.

“It is to demonstrate that he was telling the truth. I congratulate him for his courage,” he said.

Former PKR Youth chief Mohamed Ezam Mohd Nor said it was not easy for Saiful to do what he did.

“If I were Anwar, the next thing I’ll do is to go to the mosque and prove my innocence. The legal way is not enough.”

The Muslim Consumers Association of Malaysia said in a statement that Anwar should respond to Saiful's latest move.

"Berani Kerana Benar & Takut Kerana Salah". Lu takut apa DSAI????

DSAI ni kan 'fighter'...awat lak nak sembunyi? Kuat drama la lu DSAI. Honestly, kes tuduh liwat ni saya tak pedulik sgt tapi yg tak paham tu nak main sorok2 lak?

To me he is still innocent until proven guilty. Let's try to educate ourself that & not api-apikan kes liwat. Tu semua taktik kotor opposition.

Ni tiba2 Death-Threat ni mendenye??? Ni mcm autar je. Siannnn kat Wan Azizah dia...hehehe.... maruah laik & diri dia & family kena jaga... maruah parti lagi.... kena lah pikir idea2 utk "Divert Attention"... hehehe... rasakan sapa makan cili dia rasa pedas laaaa

another piece of advise... "Berani Kerana Benar & Takut Kerana Salah". Lu takut apa DSAI????

wallahwaqlam.. cuma harap kita pun jgn terikut2 cara PR fitnah DSAI mcm PR fitnah najib...

SILA KE TOPIK SETERUSNYA....

I just received a story from my friend in Prime Minister's Office that the report by DSAI's PA was apparently instructed by DSAI himself! I know its hard to believe but according to him, DSAI purposely did that to divert the attention on Pakatan Rakyat's internal problem that has been widely circulated in news these days.

The reason why the police are into this are just a matter of procedures. Every report has to be investigated.

For some reason, he knows that he WONT be able to become PM this September when he himself is caught in his internal political turmoil. This prompted him to resort to this measure. He will do whatever it takes to, kononnya, let the people know how desperate the government is to get rid of him. Sampai mcm tu sekali...

My opinion : I'm not surprise if DSAI willing to go that level. By having the PA to lodge a report for being sodomised, he wanted the people to know, kononnya, how desperate the government is and also he wants to win the people's heart.

June 30 at 11:29am
ermm.. quite a revelation.
June 30 at 2:42pm
DSAI is cunning.... & slimy & i am not surprised at all if he actually stoop so low as that. What a genius.

So the so-called "special assistant" sanggup jatuhkan maruah sendiri for this.... gosh... its like this DSAI has his own "Immortal Guards" that would jump at the bullet.

Wonder whats the reaction of his "fan group" here in FB. How's our mole doin'? hehehe

June 30 at 5:17pm
Kalau betul Anwar buat pun...

June 30 at 8:05pm
tak mustahil apa yg berlaku skrg dirancang oleh DSAI sendiri..

jadi jgn terkejut kwn2 sekalian jika tiba2 si saiful tu tarik balik laporan polis @ apa2 & kata dia disuruh oleh org2 BN..

tunggu dah lihat..

p/s: ada org dah terdesak nak jadi PM?

You replied to Irwan's post about a second ago:

i agree wid u on pak lah & looking towards credibility in leadership is essential. But all i hear from PR are complaints & digging of past govt faults & weaknesses which i feel shouldn't be the prime objective of a governing body to the people. they should focus more on the needs of the people. They must remember, WHY the people vote for them. There are only 2 reasons why people vote for an alternate party to the govt. First, they are sick & tired of the corruption & manipulation of the govt.... and second, is because the people are convinced & influenced by their manifesto & agenda of the party.

And what do we have now? People still are giving & pushing for hope & changes to be done by PR but yet... here we are... kept on criticizing & condemning the govt... but no solution or problems solved. It just gets bigger & uglier every time. The PR is holding on this & would rather stay on the shadows of the govt by being in the darkness & doesn't intend to stand-out by stepping up to the light..... ALL TALK.... & NO ACTION...

sorry dude... until now I've yet to be convinced by all parties be it BN nor PR. I believe in reforms but not condemnation.... Changes is good.... but only for the better..... by end of the day...action speaks louder then words...

Ideanya begini :-

Jika setiap kita

Jika anda terima sar ana n ini, sila sebarkan email ini.
TOLONG KEKALKAN KOMITMEN ANDA
SEHINGGA MEREKA TURUNKAN HARGA
DALAM LINGKUNGAN 80 SEN SELITER.

Mudah saja, anda cuma perlu....... ......

1. Forwardkan email ini kepada kawan-kawan dan kenalan,
2. Beli petrol dari PETRONAS sahaja ..... jauhi diri anda
dari stesyen petrol ESSO/MOBIL, CALTEX, SHELL dan PROJET.

To cut d story short, i felt tht DSAI is an important figure to d opposition becoz the ppl wanted to use him. Its a win-win situation. BN itself is a coalation of parties with multi-racial supporters. So the only way to topple it is to have a stronger coalition. DAP cant do it by thmslvs, PAS cnt do it by thmslvs... Hence d creation of PKR tht acts as d glue to keep all the opposition parties 2gether... Which is, the brainchild of DSAI of coz. So... U c, d ppl has no choice but 2 vote n support him in order to topple d govt. He on d other hand wld enjoy ths trust of power tht d ppl has given him based on this reason n fact alone.

DSAI himself is corrupted. But if u dont mind that yr leader supports cronysm n nepotism... Thn go ahead...support him. I c no difference in our struggle to reform our country by introducing a far more corupted tyrant as a leader. I believe in REFORMATION but not CONDEMNATION.

why r we comparing? TDM is irrelevant in ths topic. Who said TDM was an angel? Despite his iron-fist or evil-doing, at least d poverty level of d country decreases 40% during his reign of fear. At least he knows how to juggle d country's economics structure. As ironic as it sounds...Money is d root of all evil.

So now, lets focus on TDM'S n govt past misdeeds... By doin this, we would b able to move frwrd...congrats...its d way to go... While d usurper DSAI slithers in to power like a snake himself n poison d country n d rakyat. Congrats!

i guess no one is truly an angel. and sad to say many believe that TDM isnt either.
but regardless of what one does - corrupted or not. evil or otherwise. atleast TDM contribution can be seen and it did benefit the country. long term or otherwise.

One who runs a country need to see things in a bigger picture. One who runs a country needs to be a "MAN" not a boy that is easily manipulated.

A country such as ours - should be run by SOMEONE who does not see it as just being what it is. It should not be dictated by religion or race or gender. Nor should it be run by lairs and most DEFINATELY not by their Son-In-Laws or Daughter-In-Laws or Mother-In-Laws or Father-In-Laws....well you get the picture.

Rome was not built in one day. Nor was our Country. Lets hope and pray that our so called Leaders do not let it crumble.

I am behind u dude. DSAI as charismatic as he may be, I am rather cautious about his character wise ie; TDM revealed Anwar's ambitious character to ppl in a talk in London where he said Anwar aimed to become the PM in 10 years during his reign..Although that may not be relevant but wat worries me the most is Anwar's close links with IMF. Apparently, that is also one of the reasons for the fell-out with TDM. I would hate to see M'sia borrowing money from IMF or World Bank. they will hold us by the balls if that does happened one day.

Regarding the petrol price increase, I don't blame Pak Lah fully although I felt that he was clearly incompetent as a PM because he couldn't gain control over his subordinates. Come on..the crude oil price is increasing all over the world and there is nothin we can do about it. Having said that, I felt the Gov't could have managed the country's economy more wisely. the rakyat will not complain if the Gov't can do something to lessen our burden. The problem wit M'sia is that the price for everything is increasing except the salary.

If TDM can bring us through 1997, Pak Lah 'ought' to have been able to do the same thing now but it seems that he has the Midas Finger curse. However, rather than turning what he touches into gold, he turns them into shit.

If he can't play his part, please step down.

PS: Ppl may complain bout TDM on his notoriety, dictatorship etc etc as they like. But I'll have no complaints if it will bring the country forward. Look at Singapore's Lee Dynasty..will u complain?

maybe should have a law restricting the financial in/outs of politicians? if u wan be politician, then say byebye to all ur bank accounts, no Swiss bank accounts etc. If country develop and growth is seen, then the people should think of rewarding this politician with money for him/her to retire and live well. wont that be a nice idea? hehe~

Alan, you're right.

I dont care if TDM was a dictator and etc. But atleast during his reign, we survived 1997. We progressed!

But eversince AB took over - its been nothing but downhill.
He needs to step up his game or step down.
He doesnt need to be a horrible evil dictator but i guess he needs help in his management skills and learn to lead and not be manipulated.

i remember DSAI mentioning to promise to reduce oil prices if they became the gov... i think now many ppl r reconsidering it!.. well atleast they should..

him as in DSAI? so... just because he is well known in the world, that means he deserves the leadership? Is that how u judge & elect your leader? Through fame?

They can promise the world if they want to...just to garner support. Welcome to the world of politics. Trust me... it's a dirty job.

It is so easy to say it isn't it? "Vote for me & i shall bring down the petrol price".... waaahhhh syoknye!!! Ma'am.... it aint that easy. To those simple minded people.... it's music to their ears.

The Selangor government has not lived up to the Pakatan Rakyat's promises of lower taxes and free education.....just to name a few.

This is an "eye-opener and a lesson" to new/youth voters.

The new state government is being given certain leeway to perform by the people of Selangor. However, it will quickly lose its goodwill if the people's interest are not given priority.

My advise is.... continue educating yourself...read more....learn more...keep on asking question...regardless if it sounded dumb or naive. Information is Power!

Dont judge a person or party based on merely speeches. Remember this.... "An Idle Mind Is The Devil's Playground"

looking at the current situation now, i would say muhyiddin yassin looks quite impressive right now with his logical comments instead of najib who looks as weak as pak lah....but well, to be frank i still doubt we have an excellent candidates to fill in the big shoe that tun has left....

Too much drama!!! Why oh why?!?!

I'm a big fan of TDM & it is sad to see him go. What saddened me the most is his 'timing'. Why now??? This would only jeopardize rakyat's perception of UMNO. Now Pak Lah is actually doing something for the ppl. At last he has woken from his slumber. Pak Lah realised that he has to be more vigorous & assertive. I wish he could be more of a problem solver rather then problem 'highlighter'. Iye mmg... byk yg TDM mempersoalkan pentadbiran Pak Lah & Co... tapi apa kata TDM bagi "solution". If dia nak bersuara... jgn sekadar bersuara kerana tak puas hati... bersuara la kerana nak perjuangkan hak2 rakyat, bangsa & agama. Mmg itu adalah perjuangan TDM sblm ini. TDM berpesan... "perjuangan kita belum selesai". So takkan TDM nak "give up" skrg? Mana dia semangat berkobar TDM? Takkan kerana tak puas hati dgn pentadbiran Pak Lah, sanggup tinggalkan UMNO. Takkan dia tak tau UMNO skrg tgh kucar kacir... & berpuak2. He will not improve things by leaving. It will only make things worst. I bet he knows what kinda "chain-reaction" or "ripple effect" of his action will affect us fellow Umno reformist.
I know, he said that he will join back UMNO once PAK LAH resigns. And i really hope he has his own plans. We know now at least... that Mukhriz is willing to stay on. Therefore it might be... I say again... it "might" be a good strategy to reform Umno from within & also without. Its a "pincer" movement. I would call it "blitzkrieg" but less dramatic lah.

What I'm afraid is... by the time he returns to Umno, it might be already to late to save Umno from crumbling. Toloooong.... kepada yg ingin mengikut jejak langkah TDM, fikirlah betul2. Perjuangan & hak bangsa & negara ni utk siapa? Utk "ketua" kita ke? Utk parti ke? Utk MP ke? BUKANN!!!!! Perjuangan kita adalah utk hak kita sebagai rakyat m'sia & bangsa kita, agama kita & to improve our way of life.. Bukan kita yg patut bersedih kerana ketua tinggalkan kita.... ketua kita patut bersedih kerana rakyat tinggalkan mereka. Terlampau byk sgt drama swasta dlm politik m'sia skrg ni. Let's not be swayed or effected by all this. Lets stay true & strong. Ini semua cubaan & dugaan utk kita belajar bersabar & bersatu. Insya-Allah if we survive this, therefore we can make it work again! Jatuh boleh bangun. Ingat... it is us that matters... & NOT THEM!!!

As for now... we hold... hold... & hold... until the right moment to pounce! we wait for awhile... for reaction of others especially the big guns. Some of us might wait for TDM's strategy.... & wait for mukhriz's as well. Its a 2 pronged attack.... in my opinion... in order to make it work... is to do it strategically & not emotionally. Let's stay afloat rather then swaying.... kita sabar k?

I'm still a big fan of TDM & I'm also a strong supporter of Umno... therefore we should decide wisely... if we cant find answers now... then time will tell my friends... time will tell....

Pak Lah ni pun satu... its about time la he stepped down. His arrogant reaction to TDM's decision is appalling. And whatever he does it's far too slow & too late for comfort.

I can imagine hang tuah dok panggil jebat suruh turun in "pendekar bujang lapok"...hehehe... "hei heii heeeiiiiiii jebat.... kenapa kao tak mau turun?? kalau kao tak mau turun...aku akan naik..." (quoted by sudin)

Jom pakat heret dia turun.... not physically but mentally lah.

Below is a link to some of the rakyat's comments on his decision to leave UMNO:

Karpal Singh – the manipulative genius from Pakatan Rakyat

Ibrahim Ali is definitely cornered like a rat. It all started by him asking Karpal Singh to stand up if he wants to ask questions in the parliament, which is the rule of the parliament. To his surprise (& even mine), he didn’t realize that Karpal Singh is wheelchair-bound. Honestly, he should’ve done his homework. Knowing Karpal Singh, an opportunist as well as a manipulative genius sees this as an open goal. He’s a lawyer for goodness sakes, it’s his trade. He doesn’t need to answer or reply to Ibrahim Ali, instead he’d rather call him a “katak” & Bung Mokhtar a “Bigfoot”.

Anyway… the Bukit Gelugor MP played his strategy & put all his chess pieces onto the gameboard. Hence, came the 2nd day of the parliamentary hearing. ‘Checkmate’ Ibrahim Ali! Out of nowhere, the members of Malaysian Against the Discrimination of the Disabled (MADD) ‘ambushed’ the Pasir Mas MP. They wanted him to apologize for his ‘insensitve’ statement towards the OKUs. But hey… did he really attacked the OKU or directly to Karpal Singh? Waitaminute…. I’ve never heard of the MADD before. And to my knowledge M’sia has always respected, loved & cared for OKUs. Since when do we need to have an organization like MADD? Here…once again the DAP chairman tries to manipulate the public on having sympathy votes towards him & indirectly his party. Ko nak publisiti murah ke Karpal oiiiii?

The parliament is not your playground lah Karpal…. Its for the MPs to do their job by being the eyes, mouth & ears of the rakyat. We don’t give a damn if Ibrahim Ali doesn’t want to apologize. Please stop your manipulation & abuse of charity for your political gain!!! And to Ibrahim Ali…. Awat ego sangatttt???? Habis cerita??? I bet the public or his supporters would be understanding enough? If they are not, then they are as insensitive as you are & don’t deserve to be seen, heard or listened in the parliament.

Well… he did apologize to the OKUs & members of MADD and that should be enough for MADD when they came in to the parliament to address their memorandum BUT…. That wasn’t enough? The MADD wants him to apologize to Karpal??? Why? What’s in it for them? Is Karpal also the chairman of MADD? It’s Ibrahim’s prerogative whether he wants to apologize or not… he doesn’t need others to tell him that. Honestly…. I have doubts towards this new MADD. I know, I know…. By having doubts on them will make me sound insensitive towards the OKUs as well. Ibrahim Ali said MADD may have been made use of by Pakatan Rakyat MPs who wanted to politicise the matter… honestly, I agree with him. Even if Anthony Thanayasan (the speaker for MADD) said “The disabled had dignity and could not be bought and any one of the MPs can become disabled one day. So, be sensitive to our condition and please show us some respect."

I’m sorry? To me the OKUs are still human beings & they have the same heart & minds as us (as in not OKU lah) despite the physical disadvantage. How sure are we that their hearts are purer then others? Does it mean they never incurred any sins or crime before? Be it Sloth, Envy, Gluttony, Covetousness, Lust, Anger & Greed? I have always respected them & I have a number of OKUS in my family tree. I have always treated them as equals. Come to think of it, one of the most highly-intellectual homo-sapien is actually wheelchair-bound...taraaaaaa..... "Stephen Hawkings". Therefore never underestimate em'.

If MADD is really as pure-hearted as what they say about themselves then WHERE WERE THEY during the 14th MALAYSIA PARALYMPIC GAMES? And to those who thinks what Bung Mukhtar & Ibrahim did was so insensitive then where were you people? Do you know the games actually existed or its’ wherabouts & it’s date? Do you all know that our country broke a total of 98 local & international records? Do you know that some of the athletes will be competing in the upcoming Olympics? Do you know Sarawak won the highest medal tally of 227 in total? Do you know that Selangor won the GPN trophy for the highest athlete entry? Do you know that Mohd Zamry Sapiee & Catherine Thimbang siang won the sportsman & sportswoman award? I’m ashamed of all of you! (Including myself for not highlighting about the games before).

Last but not least… please oh please… jgn cemarkan kemuliaan & niat murni insan dengan dunia politik.

So to Karpal Singh & the Pakatan Rakyat… I salute you………. with my middle-finger!!! (no wait…make it a double!!!)

p/s: Let China have their Olympics! We should be proud as it is the first on an Asian soil. Lets’ not tarnish it with politics (free Tibet – human rights movement). Olympics itself is for the good of humanity! It’s where the whole world connects through the beauty of sports!!!

Raja Petra buat hal lagi....ish ish ishhhh

As much as I supported freedom of speech. I still feel that this kind of freedom requires a sense of responsibility. Without responsibility, it may lead to anarchy. RPK is famous for being bold & vocal. Not many people has the balls that he has...but lately it has become a trend to be ballsy in blogs & internet.

He has now become an icon & idol among the new waves of bloggers, internet savvy peeps, idealistic youths & govt reformist. I must say i enjoy what I read from RPK & I'm one of those that falls in the govt reformist category. Nevertheless, I felt that RPK's views on the Altantuya case is inflammatory. His comments in my opinion requires proper explanation & channeling. It's too much of a brain-fart rather then an in-depth blurb to me.

It amazes me how his blogger fans, supporters & so-called nettizens could contribute rm35,000 in just 2 days. Ironically, wouldn't it be good if these ppl could collect those money for goodwill? Yes he did say that he only need rm5k & the rest would be donated to charity. It's pretty noble of him but it kinda saddens me to know nettizens responded real fast to come to their hero's aid. RPK is a well-off dude... rm5k is nothin. If only the nettizens could also do the same for charity, rumah anak2 yatim. I bet if they can collect rm35k in just 2 days... it wont be impossible to get rm2million in a month. Wouldn't that be great if that money goes to the needy? The S'ngor state govt manage to get rm1million in 2 days for myanmar cyclone victim. Why dont they get RPK's nettizen to contribute? We could even get rm10 million at least within a month.

Anyway, let him settle his issues. Since its' his freedom, let him be responsible for his action. Let him fight for his rights & those he inflicted fight for theirs. Insya-Allah, everything will transpire in a manner which it should be done. I don't see a reason why or what effect will there be by us being there at the court. Maybe to those who are not working or working in shifts might be able to but it is something unworthy to me.

Nevertheless, I'm wishing RPK all the best on handling the issue. Lantak ko lah.. ko nak kebulurkan diri dalam penjara tu raja oiiiii.... memang niat freedom of speech tu ada... but u're an idol... so.. tunjukkanlah contoh & teladan yg baik at least. Jgn ikut baran hati je...mulut tu kena beli insurance.... ni camne? dah dok dlm lokap...wifi sure takde? no problem kot... sure ramai machai2 ko boleh continue your legacy in malaysia today.

Last but not least.... VICTORIANS sucks!!! Long live the JOHANNIANS!!! Budak lembu jgn memandai nak buat fitnah ke si-helang!!

p/s: RPK is an ex Victorian Inst student whereas Najib is an ex St.John's Inst student....

Ketuanan Melayu from my point of view. (dimanakah bangsaku - part 1)

What is Ketuanan Melayu? The word “Supremacy” is a Big word indeed. It gives different impressions & different interpretations from different people. Nowadays, people see the term as power-hungry, one-sided or an unjustified ultimatum. To some it’s a matter of survival & pride of the race, to few it’s a matter of justice & honour.

Ketuanan Melayu doesn’t mean the malays are superior among the other races. It doesn’t mean the malays are legible get whatever, whenever, wherever they want or do. In actual fact it is meant for the malays to stay united, to be proud of their race & could stand tall among the other race of the world. It is to remind the malays of their roots, culture, traditions, ethics, arts & history. It is by far meant to belittle or incurs fear on other races or ethnicities.

Ketuanan Melayu means that Malaysia is ruled through a federal constitutional elective monarchy, which means, the country is headed by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong. The king who is selected for 5 year terms from among the 9 Malay sultanates. Ketuanan Melayu adalah kedaulatan kesultanan melayu.

Ketuanan Melayu also means that Bahasa Melayu is the official language of the country. Bahasa Melayu sebagai bahasa rasmi Negara.

Another part of Ketuanan Melayu is the influence of the malay tradition & culture in the governance of the country, such as the costume worn for a speaker to a state assembly in the parliament, regardless of the speaker’s race or ethnicity.

Ketuanan Melayu is part of the social contract of Malaysia. It is now being brought back to light, which is now used as a vehicle the opposition rides on to garner the support of the public. The new “Ketuanan Rakyat” which is proposed by PR is riding high with unwavering support of the rakyat. In a nutshell… which one sounds better? The Malay Supremacy or The People Supremacy? It’s no rocket science to the answer, as the latest results of the election shows the power, the voice & the confidence of the people.

Previously, DAP was the main party that is against the Social Contract of Ketuanan Melayu. As we all know the NEP (national economic policy) & later the NDP (national development policy) was born from this social contract. In layman’s term, the creation of these policies were meant to make the malays in par with the other races in it’s economical stand. Some say it was a success but now most people say it’s a huge failure. Despite the results of the declining poverty rate through the years:

Wealth in the hands of the bumiputras went from 4% in 1970 to about 20% in 1997. The overall wealth of the country as a whole also grew; per capita GNP went from RM1,142 in 1970 to RM12,102 in 1997. During the same period, absolute poverty in the population as a whole dropped from 50% to 6.8%.

The people today felt that it is still lopsided, uneven & unfair. The rich gets richer, the poor gets poorer, the ones with power remains powerful, untouched & wealthy! Why is this so? To be continued on my next blog post… (dah ngantuk dah niiii…. Shit… its 4am??? Nak keje esok niiii….aiyoyo)

Here’s a prelude to my next blog post:
“But who are we kidding here? Ask any malays, which one comes first, your bangsa (race) or your agama (religion)? I would dare say 80-90% of the answers will be Islam first. Why? This is the global effect which is affecting M’sia now. The sudden attacks & discrimination towards the world of islam brings out the “jihad” in all of the muslims of the world. In this new era, the term “biar mati anak, jgn mati adat” is irrelevant anymore...” (jeng jeng jeng…… to be continued)

Mengapa TDM mengkritik Pak Lah

I'm a tourist in my own country (prelude to "dimanakah bangsaku")

To those who works, lives or study in the Klang Valley, would've realised about the service industry here. I remembered early this year or was it late last year... while i was navigating thru the Pavilion (new shopping mall in Bkt Bintang area) for the very first time. Being an ardent fan of burgers... I was hunting for Carl's JR. Heard from a friend it's here in Pavilion. Used to travel all the way from Tmn Maluri to One Utama just for a SuperStar double cheeseburger. Back to the story... I saw this security guard & asked him for the information counter. He pointed the way... without uttering a word. So, I assume he understand. So...I followed his directions... & realised I was at a dead end. Haram jadah..... so... I turned back & asked the guard again in BM this time. "itu information counter ada dimana?" He seems dumbfounded. And i realised he's not local. So, I asked in english again..."Where's the information counter?" He said... "u go straight there & go up" I asked "which floor"? He just say "up" twice.... meaning 2 floors up??? I asked where is he from, coz he looks local to me, like a malay but he answered... NEPAL. Fine.... off i go on my hunt for CJr..... When I reached the 2nd floor... the place are filled with hoardings... bloody hell.... where am i? Saw another guard... he looks local too... so i asked in malay.... his reaction shows he aint local. He said he's unsure.... so i asked him directly... whether does he knows a fast food burger restaurant here? He said yes!!! woohoooo!!! He said go down again... & walked towards the entrace... in broken english. So.. off i go.... BUT!!! when i reached the destination... theres a huge poster on the hoarding that says... Opening Soon! Bloody helll..... All that headless chicken mode for nothin. Why cant we have local security guards that could speak our BAHASA IBUNDA??? At least english? I felt as if I'm a tourist in my own country.

Had a similar incident at Santini's Suria KLCC. Called on the waiter to take my orders. I spoke in BM as the guy looks like a malay... biasalah kan... i expect people in service line must know BM & English at least! He just smiled when I asked for recommendations. Dlm hati aku.... apahal mamat ni senyum cam kerang busuk? Paham ke tak? So i spoke in english... baru lahhhh dia paham.....oooooohh a Filipino rupanya! Here's another incident... how people.. the employers, disregard the importance of having people to speak in BM in their establishment. Why? Is it because Bahasa Melayu is a class below? Is it too expensive to employ local people? Are the quality of service from our locals are poor? Why is KFC filled with Banglas? Why are most of the security guards are gurkhas? Why are the petrol attendants mostly nepalese? To the most astonishing of all.... why Petaling Street sellers are not local??? Nak tawar-menawar pun susah. It's suppose to be tourist attraction.... malu lahhhh.

When I send my car for service at Perodua...filled with banglas...kenapa? rakyat m'sia tak suka tangan comot lagi dah ke? Jatuh ke maruah diri jadi mekanik? Bila ke hotel... penuh dgn pekerja filipino... kenapa? katanya rakyat m'sia penuh dgn budi bahasa? kenapa tak buktikan di sini? pergi ke kedai mamak pun skrg dah payah.... nak cakap BM pun terpaksa jadi bahasa pasar/rojak... baru pekerja2 situ paham...sbb semuanya pekerja dari India! Ramai yg tertipu sbb ingatkan mereka local indians. Apa niiiiii??? Is this a taste of globalization???

Dimanakah bangsaku berada? Ke manakah mereka? Adakah bangsaku berada di "atas" sana? Adakah semua bangsaku memiliki post "directors, managers, CEOs..dll"? Adakah bangsaku merasa jijik, geli ataupun malu utk "Turun ke Padang"?

....(to be continued)

Looking back & looking forward....

Development of our youth for the future... or... development of the future for our youth? Where does our nation stand? The latest election shows the results which I feared the most. Not in terms of BN losing its majority votes...not because of the govt losing 5+1 states to the opposition. Not because of Anwar's mangled mind & twisted tongue seeping through the rakyat's ear & blackened their hearts... why then??? What is my greatest fear? The lost of malay traditions. The lost of its' culture & heritage. We're experiencing the wind of change. Change for the better or for worst??? We've yet to know. What is certain...is the lost of our culture. Others might wonder...what the hell am i talking about? Or even.... "mamat ni dah mengarut or merepek or merapu". Fret not.... the explanation is here...

Information Technology (IT) is here to stay. IT is here to change the way we live. IT changes the way we think. IT changes the way we act. Who is "WE"? The answer is.... our youths! The new generation. The so-called 'idealistic' generation. The voice of tomorrow which shouted today & roared on 8th of march 2008. This new generation would rather spend most of their days in front of their computers for news, spend hours in cybercafes for fun & chat in cyberspace to make friends. Whereas during my time which is 15-25 years ago... we spend most of our days in the outdoors for fun & make new friends. The generation today plays "COUNTER STRIKE" & shoot each other down from the computer screen, whereas, during my time we shoot each other down by playing "chopping" (throwing wet tennis ball...which is similar to dodgeball). We play "police sentry" or "kejar-kejar", "galah panjang", "konda kondi", "teng-teng", guli & congkak & the generation today plays Grand Theft Auto, Winning Eleven & Need for Speed. We write letters which is personalised through hand-writing where nowadays its thru email which is for the masses. We used to anyam daun-palas for ketupat & now u can buy it instant at tesco. We play masak2 & kawin2 play-acting... & now its cybersex, youtube & porn on the net.

Traditional games, arts & even recipes are fading. The youths rather go to fast food rather then learning to cook or appreciate home-made tumis asam or masak lemak. The youths rather do graffiti art on walls & design through Adobe softwares rather then crafting or carving or weaving. Youths listen to mainstream western influenced music rather then irama melayu asli. Malays are running out of poets & sasterawan which was mentioned by A Samad Said recently.

This is the evolution of Malaysia. The era of globalization is here. Soon all the world will speak in 1 language & 1 culture. And all the culture, arts & heritage of the malays, chinese & even indians will be but a page in our history books. To most of the people... they will think this is the new dawn of the world which we have to grasp in order to keep up with the world. To some, it is a distraction, which may come & go... but to those few (which includes me)... thinks that is the beginning of the end for Malaysian culture.

What has happened to BN in the recent election is a reality check. Which to me is a wake up call! To both our fathers & grandfather's generation and to the new generation now! It is not too late... to ponder.... it is not too late to realise... it is not too late to change... it is not too late to fight on! Fight for survival. Survival of our culture! The new generation only focus on the present & of course the future...but they totally neglected about the past. To them, the past is irrelevant. The past is Barisan Nasional...the past is UMNO. Which to me is so... "wrong!"

I am caught in between the old generation & the new. Both have ideals which I feel would benefit both the county & her people. I would like Malaysia to be ready for the globalization era & yet strong in culture, traditions, heritage & arts. That is why, UMNO can't remain to rule the way it used to rule if they intend to maintain in the political scene as the government. It's gonna be a long winding road uphill for UMNO now as the wind of change is here to stay.

Mark my words... in 15-20years time... if this new generation doesn't realise the EFFECT of this changes NOW...then there will be no more Wau filling up the skies, batik will only be an artform, case of obesity will rise, because the lack of outdoor activities for kids. The sound of rebana will only be a sampling in a DJ remix of a hip-hop song. Baju Melayu will only be worn in wedding ceremonies only...& so on & so forth.

Sigh..... remember the struggles of our fathers & fore-fathers & ancestors. Remember enjit-enjit semut. Remember how to tie your kain sampin. Remember all the Prosa Klasik. Remember where you used to be. We can still move forward & yet maintain our image is malaysian...therefore I STRONGLY believe.... we give the past a chance to blend & lead for the future...once again! Amin.....
